New information related to the disappearance of Nancy Moyer more than a decade ago has led investigators to search a home near Tenino, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.
Moyer disappeared from her Tenino area home in March 2009 and is presumed dead. No arrests were made, though investigators determined foul play was involved.
On Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office announced “new information came to light” that led detectives to a home on the 16500 block of Sheldon Lane Southwest outside Tenino.
They searched the home Wednesday. Sgt. Cameron Simper declined to say whose house it was or how it was connected to Moyer.
“We’re not going to release any additional information at this time,” he said.
One of Moyer’s co-workers at the state Department of Ecology dropped Moyer off at her home after work about 5:15 p.m. March 6, 2009, according to Olympian archives.
Detectives confirmed later that evening Moyer wrote a check to purchase items at Dave’s Thriftway at Tenino, according to archives.
When Moyer’s husband went to drop off their two children at the home the next day, the front door was ajar, the television was on and a glass of red wine was on a coffee table in the living room. But there was no sign of Moyer.
The couple was separated at the time. Detectives have said Bill Moyer was cleared of having any involvement in her disappearance.
