Lewis County officially lifted its burn ban on Monday, allowing outdoor burning in all of unincorporated Lewis County.
“Remember, outdoor burning is still restricted to only natural vegetation from the burn site,” according to a press release from Lewis County Community Development Department.” Residents should have fire extinguishers present and should supervise all fires until extinguished.
The burning of garbage, paper or other refuse is prohibited at all times.
Open burning applications and permits are available by applying in the Lewis County Fire Marshal’s Office or visiting lewiscountywa.gov.
